The upcoming 16-core, 24-thread processor managed to shatter performance records on UserBenchmark, easily outperforming the Intel Core i9-11900average K's bench and 1-core scores. A few weeks ago, the top-tier Asus Z690 ROG motherboard was just listed at EEC but now that the launch window has closed, the company has started testing and assessing its flagship motherboard with Intel's Alder Lake CPUs. The ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 Extreme motherboard is the focus of this entry. The high-end ROG Z690 motherboards will only support DDR5 memory, whilst the ROG STRIX series will support both DDR5 and DDR4 memory. A total of 16 GB of DDR5-4800 memory has been installed on the board.

The Intel Core i9-12900, which is the non-okay brother of the 12900K and has the same core configuration of 16 cores and 24 threads, serves as the test platform. When someone from Asus neglected to terminate the connection while testing new items, the breach became public. On an Asus Rog Maximus Z690 Extreme motherboard, the much-anticipated Intel Core i9-12900 Alder Lake processor was found in testing.
